GSYL Goes Digital (COVID-19 Statement)

Dear colleagues,

We hope you are all well and keeping safe in these extraordinary times. With the Covid-19 pandemic now gripping the globe and social distancing enforced here in the UK and in many countries around the world for the foreseeable future, we know that you are long overdue an update from us. Thank you for bearing with us during this trying time; some of our team members have been helping on the front-line of the fight against Covid-19 in hospitals and research facilities, and this has reduced our capacity slightly.

We have decided that the best action is to postpone our planning for a physical GSYL (Global Summit for Young Leaders) in Oxford. The health of our students and teachers is paramount. Leadership and innovation is defined by how we all adapt to extraordinary circumstances, and we have therefore been working around the clock with our partners to find an alternative. We are now pleased to announce that we are teaming up to create a joint effort between Oxford Global, Infinitum Education, and Knowledge Collective to bring our summit online in the form of a Digital Summit for Young Leaders. This summit will bring the quality world-class speakers and collaborative nature of GSYL onto an online platform for around 100 participants!

We will release more information in the coming weeks and will update you when the dates and price of the Digital Summit are finalised, along with other relevant logistics. These details will be outlined here. We understand this is a difficult time for all, and each of you may have differing circumstances. Should you have any questions or concerns please email us at gsyl@oxfordglobal.org and we will do our best to reply within 48–72 hours given the high volume of enquiries we are processing and our reduced staff capacity at this time.

Please take care and stay safe.

Kind regards,
Organising Committee
