BEN CHAMBERS (DIRECTOR-GENERAL)
JO MCCLOY (SECRETARY-GENERAL)
Ben (he/him) is a second-year undergraduate studying Philosophy, Politics and Economics at Trinity College, Oxford. He has been involved with Oxford Global since last year, and has chaired the ECOFIN and DISEC committees at past conferences. Having lived across the UK and in South Africa, international relations and diplomacy have always been of interest, and being part of the Oxford Global Secretariat is an opportunity to improve both access to and experience of MUN. His keen focus lies in understanding how governments can effectively cooperate and collaborate, delving into the geopolitical factors influencing instances when such collaboration falls short.
Jo (she/her) is a first-year graduate student on the DPhil in Politics at Wadham College. Her research centres on political violence, specifically resistance movements in the Middle East. She holds an MPhil in Comparative Government from Lady Margaret Hall, University of Oxford, and completed her Bachelor’s degree in International Relations and Global Economics at Jacobs University, Germany. Jo has experience working as a research assistant in Spain and Germany, as well as for several government agencies. After previously serving as the USG for Delegates at OxfordGlobal, she is now excited to be your Secretary-General and looking forward to welcoming new and familiar faces to the Home Conference in November.

Jan Chan (Executive Advisor)
Maria (she/her) is a second-year student at New College studying Philosophy, Politics, and Economics. She is originally from Romania but also lived abroad in Switzerland and Austria growing up, developing an affinity for international relations and for learning as much as she can about other cultures, prompting her to try MUN (and to fall in love with it!). She has been attending MUN conferences for almost 7 years now, and after chairing and volunteering at OxfordMUN 2023 and OxfordMUN NoviceNations 2024, she looks forward to helping the next edition of OxfordMUN unfold and to meeting everyone.
Jan (he/him) is a third-year student studying Linguistics and Portuguese at St Anne’s College, Oxford. Originally from Hong Kong, he started his MUN journey in 2019 before chairing OxfordMUN 2022 and joining the team at Oxford Global. At the 2023 conference, he had the pleasure to handle publicity and logistics, and meet and welcome passionate delegates from different continents. His passion for Model UN and global affairs is complemented by his linguistic abilities, international experience and extensive travels. Through his continued work at Oxford Global, he hopes to offer delegates a truly global experience that fosters intercultural exchanges and spreads awareness of minority rights, sustainability, and global inequalities.
JOSH ASKEW (USG BUSINESS)
Josh (he/him) is a second-year undergraduate enrolled in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics at Trinity College, Oxford. Although his prior MUN experience was limited before coming to Oxford, he fell in love with it while serving as the chair of ECOFIN with Oxford Global. Eager to enhance the experience for others, he eagerly anticipates contributing to the organisation of future conferences, ensuring that more students can partake in similarly fulfilling experiences.
IAN LU (USG BUSINESS)
Ian (He/Him) is a second-year student in History at Magdalen College, Oxford with a strong personal research interest in the history of East Asia in the 7th-10th centuries, as well as the coinage of East and Central Asia in the same period. He first became involved in MUN as a middle school delegate in 2018 and proceeded to become a member of my high school MUN club’s leadership team. MUN has created some of the most beautiful memories in his life and helped him meet some of his closest friends, and he hopes to bring the amazing experiences that he has had to more people through Oxford Global.
DAVID LI (USG CONTENT)
David (he/him) is a second year PPE student at University College, Oxford. Outside of his endless coursework, David can be found studying his collection of maps, reading up on ancient Chinese history, or attempting to make gourmet food in the kitchen (usually to little success, although only a few of his test subjects have gotten food poisoning so far). David has been actively involved in MUN since grade 11. He began as a delegate, winning a number of awards across Canada, the US, and the UK, before becoming a chair, and finally, an organizer. David first joined Oxford Global as a volunteer, and he is looking forward to the adventures that helping organize the next conference will bring.
ELEANOR CLARK (USG CONTENT)
Eleanor (she/her) is a second-year Physics undergraduate at Merton College, Oxford, with a strong passion for bridging science and policy. With three years of MUN experience, her primary focus is on climate change and COP, where she explores the intersection of science, economics, and international politics. As an intern at Oxford's Department of Atmospheric, Oceanic, and Planetary Physics, Eleanor's work on climate dynamics, which she now integrates into her MUN work. She applies her studies in Japanese and Italian to enhance her diplomatic skills and foster both global dialogue and cultural understanding. Over the past year, she has chaired the Non-Aligned Movement, COP28, UNOOSA and SOCHUM. As USG Content, Eleanor is excited to curate thought-provoking content and welcome students from around the world to the 2024 conference.
DOMiNYKAS RaGeLIS (USG DELEGATES)
Dominykas (he/him) is an MSc in Psychological Research student with a research focus on moral decision-making in social relational contexts. He studied Bsc Psychology and Economics at Vilnius University. He has always been interested in politics and has previously conducted research in political psychology and behavioural economics. While an undergraduate, he was a member of youth political organisations, such as the European Youth Parliament and an International 'Youth Debates' association. He joined the OxfordMUN Secretariat after having positive experiences as a chairperson at Oxford Global Home Conferences in November and February 2023/24. He looks forward to helping the delegates of the 2024 Oxford MUN Conference have a great experience.
AYALA GATE (USG COMMUNITY)
Ayala (she/her) is a second-year undergraduate studying Politics, Philosophy and Economics at New College. She is particularly interested in Political Philosophy and the Politics of the Middle East, which she hopes to specialise in soon. Having chaired at the 2023 OxfordMUN and experienced the electric atmosphere of the conference, she cannot wait to build a wide and diverse community of delegates with whom to share this experience! When she isn't busy with her degree, Ayala spends her time practising the flute and playing with her college hockey team.
