Welcome Letter
Dear friends and colleagues,
It is our pleasure to invite you to our OxfordMUN Conference in November.
After five years of organising workshops in Oxford and other events around the world, Oxford Global now co-hosts several international conferences and a summit for young leaders. We hope to provide an ever-growing platform for the exchange of geopolitical, socioeconomic, and cultural ideas. Our events aim to foster intellectual development and collaboration, while we learn from each other and benefit from the presence of diverse backgrounds and paradigms.
We’re proud to say that we are now recruiting staff and volunteers for our flagship conference: OxfordMUN began in 2016 with 30 participants, and it has since grown into the largest high school level Model UN conference in the whole of the UK, with up to 950 delegates attending every year. It is entirely run by University of Oxford students, and it attracts over 50% international participants. There are few better places than Oxford, from which numerous generations have gone forth and shaped the world, to consider the salient issues that the world faces today. After all, the debates and discussions taking place at OxfordMUN are likely happening amongst tomorrow’s leaders.
We are now accepting volunteer staff applications to help with running the conference committees and conference logistics.
All volunteers will automatically be considered for our international conferences taking place over the summer. These include the Sub-Conference at WEMUN Expo in Beijing and Shanghai, as well as our OxfordMUN Conference in Singapore, and any other international opportunities. It’s of course uncertain whether all these events will take place in person, but we are certain some of our international trips will happen.
Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us at info@oxfordglobal.org. We look forward to seeing you soon in Oxford, and potentially also in China, India, Japan and Singapore.
Sincerely,
Oxford Global Committee
