Oxford Global is a social enterprise consisting of a group of students and alumni of the University of Oxford, promoting equal access to high-quality educational conferences and summits. Our team hails from all over the globe and consists of scientists, engineers, linguists, lawyers, classicists, philosophers, and economists.

Meet the team

what We offer

Our Global Summit for Young Leaders provides an innovative curriculum based on hands-on learning and collaborative exchange. Guided by a team of Oxford professors, industry experts, and researchers, participants challenge themselves to implement viable solutions to world challenges during an engaging week-long summit.

Our Model UN Conference enhances delegates’ knowledge of international relations while allowing them to immerse themselves in committee sessions led by University of Oxford students. Throughout debate simulations and an innovative crisis programme, participants will exchange ideas with peers from around the world.

In addition to the above, we create tailor-made programmes and innovative curricula for schools, summer courses, and international organisations. Our team consists of ‘STEM Ambassadors’ and ‘Fellows of the Higher Education Academy’ who are adept at creating new courses and delivering them at high quality.

Our Causes

When Oxford Global was founded, we focussed on Equality in Education Access and Energy Sustainability as our main causes. Today, we continue to work in these fields and consider the UN Sustainable Development Goals as an integral component of our vision. We emphasise Quality Education (SDG 4) and Reduced Inequalities (SDG 10) as being at the heart of what we offer, and we aim to create Partnerships for the Goals (SDG 17) through the global character of our operations. Through access initiatives and engagement with the local community, OG is committed to promoting Sustainable Cities and Communities (SDG 11).

Testimonials

Thank you for the amazing opportunity you have provided me with. It was amazing and I never thought I would experience anything like it.

I enjoyed it immensely! l learnt new skills in public speaking and collaboration, and even just being able to watch the ‘veterans’ in my committee taught me amazing amounts, so that my first conference left me confident to compete in others. I made great friends from all over the world who I intend to keep in touch with for a long time, and I thought it so cool to be around intelligent, often bi- or trilingual people with interesting histories. I thank you again for making all this possible. I will remember this trip with fond memories for many years to come.

The conference was fantastic and my students enjoyed it very much indeed! It certainly ticked all the boxes as far as I am concerned! Please do pass on my thanks to all the team—you did a great job! Hopefully you can now have a couple of days rest!

We attended last year and the Oxford Global Model United Nations was by far the best conference our school has ever attended.

We have come for the last two years and we have even now set up a MUN club at school. As a state Grammar school, coming to Oxford MUN has helped dispel some myths about Oxford and coming last year has really enthused some of our girls to both apply to Oxford and get involved in MUN. Three of the Sixth Formers who came in 2018 have set up a lunchtime MUN club. It is very much in the early stages of development but we are working towards this autumn’s MUN event at Oxford. It runs once a week at lunchtime. They are very enthusiastic about MUN and are really looking forward to returning this year.

Last year I had a life-changing experience through being a delegate in the 2018 Oxford Global MUN conference within the Human Rights Council. Being a delegate taught me the importance of diplomatic negotiation and cooperation with students from all over the world. Through developing and expressing leadership, communication, and analytical thinking, I was awarded the best delegate award within the committee, which to this day provides me with the confidence to advocate human rights within my school community and regional areas in Austria. My current affiliation with Amnesty International and human rights activism would not have been possible without the legal foundation and knowledge provided within the conference. Furthermore, the conference was a focal point within my Oxford application for law and I am so very grateful to have had such an invigorating opportunity.

Huge thanks for all that you did to give our pupils such an excellent experience. They were buzzing!

Thank you so much for organising such an amazing weekend! I know that behind our three days of fun there was months and months of really hard work. Oxford Global’s conference was the first Model United Nations event I’ve ever done and I was so happily surprised by how warm and welcoming everyone was and how fun my committee turned out to be. I greatly appreciate what an amazing opportunity it was to come and participate—I feel very privileged to have been able to attend with so many amazing people from around the world, who became friends I’m hoping to stay in touch with for years to come. The effort put in by the committee to get everyone involved, practicing their public speaking and having fun, made the trip so valuable for me. I feel as though I have improved my own self-confidence and speaking skills exponentially and I can’t thank you enough. I’ll always remember what a great experience it was.

The incredible and unique opportunity to participate in the Oxford Global MUN conference has truly been the experience of a lifetime for many of our students. Last year we attended the conference with our largest group yet and the students were extremely motivated, ambitious, and exuberant even though it was the first time for many. This is what I would really like all students to feel and Oxford Global has supported that tremendously.

Last year was our first experience of the Oxford Global MUN conference. We were very impressed by the organisation of the event, the number of committees and the imagination of the organisers. Our pupils really engaged and came away feeling uplifted and inspired by their discussions. The experience of being in the beautiful Oxford setting was also a great benefit. Many also enjoyed the talks which were given by Oxford professors.
— Teacher
We thoroughly enjoyed the experience last year and three of our delegates received Best Delegate awards. We also worked closely with the Oxford Global co-directors to organise and host the OG Summit for Young Leaders in Athens this summer. We are totally hooked!
— Teacher
We attended the conference last year and had a wonderful experience. Our pupils were inspired by their surroundings and thoroughly enjoyed all aspects of the debates which they participated. We feel that this is an excellent opportunity for students to broaden their horizons, meet like minded people, and learn more about the important issues affecting the world today.
